Volunteer Day February 11

Mahalo to those who came out to the WDFRP last weekend to help remove small scale fences from our out plants. Now that there are no goats within the project exclosure we can plant without small fences to protect the plants. We liberated about 150 plants! The next volunteer day is Saturday February 11th, we will be hand clearing fountain grass in preparation for a planting site. As always…

Please meet at the corner of Quarry Road and Waikoloa Road (near the new wiliwili fence) at 8:00am, transportation to the site will be provided. If you have a 4WD vehicle and would like to drive to the site you may. Our work day will conclude at 12 noon and refreshments will be provided. Please come prepared with hiking boots, long pants, sunscreen and adequate water (at least 1L/32oz). Gloves, tools and safety equipment will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own. Please contact Jen: to RSVP!

If you can’t make it this month look forward to our next volunteer day March 10th. See you soon!
